a garden for a biodynamic vineyard

[unrealised concept]

A new English vineyard in the hills of Sussex with ecology at it's heart.

Making wine is a method of translating a sense of place into a flavour that can be consumed and enjoyed. This design captures the flavour of the place, ferments and bottles it into a landscape that is not only productive, but full of nature. A unifying grid underlies the entire design, constructed from axis made by the rows of vines and the old farm buildings. The grid suggests a sense of order and cultivation, however, the uniform elements placed on this grid are randomly deleted to suggest a sense of chaos and nature. This contrast of order and chaos come together to form something altogether more beautiful and exciting.
